APPLIED TECNOLOGY TO MARKETING: THE UNION BETWEEN BRAND AND CUSTOMERS (AND THE SUCCESS OF OUR ROBOKEEPER)

Anyone can see that the new technologies have become something indispensable in Marketing and advertising, incluying the advertising in the point of sale. Thanks to the new technologies, the companies place the consumers in the center of their strategy, building stronger relationships between brand and consumer than with the tradicional campaigns.
 
On the one hand, there are the new technologies basic, as websites or social media, but nowdays companies are apllying more complex technologies in their marketing campaigns, as augmentated reality, QR codes, geolocalization …. Or as we have done in Grupo WDI: To create new technologies that interact with the costumers.
 
In Grupo WDI, we give a lot of importance to the use of new technologies and always work with strong partners, that can give a “plus” to our proyects, following the impact that we search.
 
One of our proyects that show this unión between technology, marketing and costumer is “the robokeeper” that we designed, developed and produceded for Pepsi and Lays for the sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League.

The development of the robokeeper was a big challenge for us: A goalkeeper that must avoid that the costumers score a goal. After a lot of tests, search of materials both in Spain and outside and a lot of hours of work…We had it! Our Robokeeper was the first one developed in Spain.

Thank you to this action, Pepsi was reinforced and a lot of costumers played with our robokeeper all over Spain, enjoying the experience. That is why we consider this proyect as an example of how the applied technology to Marketing, specially, in actions in the point of sale, can help even more than an advertising campaign in other media.
